As the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) concept rapidly evolves on a global scale, its significance in business management has become increasingly vital. ESG closely aligns enterprises with sustainable development goals and is highly compatible with the national "dual carbon" goals. As a leading Zhejiang enterprise in the domestic cosmetics sector, Proya has proactively addressed global sustainable development demands over the years. We have strengthened our ESG management system and significantly enhanced our performance across environmental, social, and corporate governance dimensions.

In August 2022, Proya launched the first sustainable development strategic plan (2022-2025), titled "Beauty aspirations for a shared future" aimed at fully promoting the achievement of global sustainable development goals.

In 2023, Proya disclosed its greenhouse gas verification statement and report verification statement in 2023 from an independent third-party authority for the first time. This achievement establishes Proya as the first domestic cosmetics company to complete independent third-party verification of carbon data and report verification. In the same year, Proya was invited to participate in CDP's climate change questionnaire for the first time, earning a commendable Grade B. Notably, Proya received a Grade A in 11 subcategories for carbon reduction initiatives and low-carbon products, significantly outperforming the industry average of Grade C.

Following the environmental management policy of "energy saving, consumption reduction, emission reduction, and efficiency increase," Proya integrated climate change into its core ESG management issues in 2023. In addressing climate change and enhancing adaptability, Proya achieved a year-on-year reduction of 32.93% in greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) per 10,000 yuan of sales revenue in 2023. Furthermore, we successfully reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 5,571.93 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent through a range of strategies, including energy-saving technological upgrades, the adoption of clean energy, and initiatives focused on reducing and substituting packaging.

In 2023, Proya officially joined the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). In 2024, Proya Cosmetics Co., Ltd.’s Huzhou branch, known as the Proya Skincare Factory, secured the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Supply Chain Certification, marking a key milestone in Proya’s ongoing dedication to sustainable development.
